Founded in 1997 by Industrial Designer Dominic Wishlade, Dura began with a bold idea – to transform the traditional workshop into a modern, efficient, and inspiring workspace.
From those beginnings, Dura has grown into a globally recognised brand with headquarters in Brackley, Northamptonshire, and one of the UK’s most advanced manufacturing facilities in Plymouth, Devon. Our team of designers, engineers and production specialists work together to deliver integrated, modular furniture systems for the most demanding commercial environments.

Dura recognised early on that the professional workshop was often overlooked — with fragmented equipment, poor ergonomics and inefficient layouts. Our modular steel furniture system changed that, integrating every element from tool storage and waste management to fluid reels and diagnostics equipment into a single, cohesive design.
The impact was immediate. Aston Martin became the first to adopt the concept globally, soon followed by Audi AG and other prestigious automotive brands. Today, Dura’s systems are specified and recommended by virtually every leading premium car manufacturer, as well as blue-chip clients in the industrial and aerospace sectors.
