In the commercial sector the company recognised that the professional workshop was an area lacking in proper design, housing a disparate array of equipment with little thought given to ergonomics or efficiency. Dura developed its modular furniture system to integrate virtually every element of equipment required for the modern workshop, from tool storage and waste management to fluid reels and diagnostic equipment. The result transformed the workshop into an efficient workspace that encourages high professional standards and is attractive to both employees and customers alike.

The benefits were soon recognised, and Aston Martin led the way as the first company to adopt the concept as part of its corporate identity worldwide, soon to be followed by Audi AG.

Today Dura’s system is recommended and used by virtually every leading premium automotive brand as well as many blue-chip names in the industrial and aerospace sectors.
